Chalmers 2022 Postdoc in life cycle optimisation of existing buildings based on AI (Sweden)

We invite applicants for a postdoc position in a multidisciplinary project that aims to improve renovation planning for existing buildings. The project interacts closely with contiguous disciplines and the industry.  This project aims towards developing an automatized workflow to identify optimization potentials in renovation planning of existing buildings. Using machine learning and only remotely available data, the models of the existing buildings are generated. Then, the optimal renovation measures are identified with regards to life cycle GHG emissions and costs. Finally, the project supports increasing the renovation rate and saving large amounts of GHG emissions.The project will be carried out at the Research Group of Sustainable building at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
