Talent Passport Permit: To lure more foreign nationals to France, the French government created the ‘passport talent’ program in 2016, allowing non-EU/EEA citizens to receive certain work permits. This work permit covers the following categories:

• Recent grads with specialized skills
• Employees with a French employment contract on admission
• Researchers/scientists
• Workers with a high level of expertise (EU Blue Card Holders)
• Employees of a forward-thinking firm
• Artists/performers
• Investors in the economy or the financial sector
• A person is well-known in literature, the arts, education, athletics, science, and other fields on a national or international level.

EU Blue Card: This card is only given to highly skilled employees who need a one-to-three-year residence permit. To be eligible for this permit, an applicant must hold a diploma/degree indicating three years of higher education or five years of professional experience in a certain subject. The candidate must have worked for at least a year and earn a monthly wage that is at least 1.5 times the French average gross yearly pay.

Employees on Assignment Permit: This France work permit is granted to those who have worked in a firm outside of France for at least three months and earned 1.8 times the minimum wage.

Exceptional Economic Contribution Permit: If foreign investors investing considerable quantities of money or aiming to generate more than 50 jobs are eligible for a 10-year residence Visa in France, a foreign citizen is eligible for this permission. The applicant’s spouse and minor children are likewise entitled to the same benefits as the applicant.

Scientists/Researchers Permit: Applicants with a master’s degree or higher certification who need to do university-level research can apply for a temporary scientific activity resident visa.

• To apply for a Work Visa in France, the first step is to figure out the type of permission you’ll need based on the nature of your job and the length of time you’ll be working there.
• After you’ve decided on a work permit, you’ll need to apply, fill out the France Visa application, and gather all necessary documents.
• After completing the form, you will be asked to make an appointment with the Visa Application Centre to present your documents and biometrics (VAC).
• You are now ready to submit your application after completing your France work visa application and meeting all conditions. You must submit your Biometrics information on the day of your appointments at the VAC (fingerprints and digital photograph).
• Now that you’ve completed the France work visa application process, it’s time to await the judgment of the Embassy or Consulate.

Processing Time

Along with this base fee, you will also have to provide a visa processing fee which costs EUR 50(4,315 INR) more, along with the VFS service fees, which amount to INR 1,467 (taxes included). Because the exchange rate can alter the price, it’s always a good idea to double-check the price with the embassy/consulate before applying.

Application Process for France Post Study Work Visa 

• When studying in France, students should first decide on a college/university and a field of study. A wealth of information is accessible on higher education institutions, programs offered, cost of study, quality of institutions and degrees, and subsidies.

• The OFII (Office Français d’Immigration et d’Intégration) is a French immigration and integration office.
• Proof of French residency (lease, utility bill, or hotel booking receipt)
• Copies of your curriculum vitae
• All academic documents should be copied.
