The first on the list of Stanford university notable alumni is Tiger Woods. He is considered to be one of the most successful golfers and currently the No.1 golfer in the whole world. He became a professional at the age of 21 and won his first tournament the next year. Soon he dominated world golf and reached the No.1 position within the world rankings. In just two years at Stanford, Tiger won a Stanford record-tying 11 tournaments, including an improbable 8 wins in 13 starts in 1996. In 1996, he was the NCAA individual champion and was even named Jack Nicklaus national player of the year.
