Swinburne University of Technology 2022 PhD Scholarship in Additive Manufacturing of Composites

A PhD Scholarship is available to an outstanding candidate with background in Materials, Mechanical, Manufacturing and/or Chemical Engineering, who is passionate about developing new composite materials, products and related processes using 3D printing or Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies. The research will involve working with an international class research team at Swinburne University of Technology and collaborators at CSIRO. The scope of work includes the fabrication of composite materials and products by 3D printing, and the characterization of the structures/properties/AM process relationships. The type of composites, properties and targeted applications of the PhD project may be framed around the research interests, capabilities and aspirations of the successful candidate. The ideal candidate is expected to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have relevant competencies with a demonstrable aptitude for research and development.
