YSEALI Exchange Program in the USA 2022 (Fully Funded)

The YSEALI PFP is a two-way exchange program organized by the US Department of State that is intended to improve people-to-people ties among young leaders. The fully-funded International Exchange Program provides young leaders an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience with US private or public sector organizations. YSEALI PFP aims to create a bridge of cooperation and mutual understanding between the US and other Nations by encouraging young and mid-career professionals to participate in the program.

The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI PFP) is sponsored by the US Government to strengthen the ties between the US and Southeast Asia through exchange and cooperation. The Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative Professional Fellows Program 2022 is designed to build long-term and sustainable partnerships between Southeast Asian countries and the United States. Fellows participating in this fully-funded fellowship program are ready to take on the challenges of our globalized world by understanding real-life global problems and trying to find solutions to them.

The YSEALI PFP will consist of virtual activities as well as an in-person Institute in the United States. Participants who wish to participate in virtual activities must have reliable internet access. This year’s youth leadership program is organized around four themes: Governance and Society, Economic Empowerment, Civic Engagement, and Sustainable Development and the Environment. Aside from these major themes, the fellows can choose from a variety of sub-themes to show their expertise. The professionals who are involved in different genres of life can easily find more than one theme from these issues which can directly relate to their leadership skills. Eligibility Criteria of the YSEALI Exchange Program 2022 USA:

• You must be a citizen of the Southeast Asian nation and a resident of that country.
• A candidate needs to be an emerging leader.
• To be considered, you must have two years of professional experience and be currently employed.
• Professionals from any government, civil society, or private sector can apply.
• Your experience should be related to the selected themes.
• YSEALI applicants must be between 25 and 35 years old.
• It is necessary that you are proficient in reading and writing English.
• Citizens of the United States and permanent residents of the United States cannot apply.

• The US Based Exchange: June 13 – July 22, 2022

Cycle 2: 

• Virtual Activities Program: May 2022
• The US Based Exchange: September 12 – October 21, 2022

How to Apply for the YSEALI Exchange Program 2022 in the USA?

• Applicants must submit their applications through AIS Forms Portal.
• You must attach supplementary materials after submitting your application. The candidates should be ranked according to their preference in terms of the institute theme.
• Once your application is complete, make sure you check it again before clicking the submit button, otherwise, you won’t be able to change it.
