This initiative is in line with the African Union’s aspiration to build a people-centered community and achieve Agenda 2063 for shared prosperity and well-being, for unity and integration, for one continent. of free citizens and horizons where the potential of women and young people is fully realized, free from want, fear and diseas There will be a total of six (6) selected winners who have made a substantial contribution to the implementation of the WPS and YPS agenda in their community, country. Candidates must demonstrate that they have contributed in remarkable ways through the realization of exceptional projects/activities in the following areas: The prevention of sexual and gender-based violence as well as the protection of women and young people in conflict situations; Processes of conflict prevention, transformation, resolution and consolidation of gender mainstreaming peace Inclusive process of conflict prevention, conflict resolution and peace building peace; Strengthening and effective and meaningful inclusion of women and young people in the process of peace Inclusive stabilization and peacebuilding, including reconciliation, natural resource management, economic recovery and improved livelihoods, reintegration of warring factions, etc.
