Disaster Management and Social Development Minister Sadiya Farouq outlined the explanations for the delays in the payment of two monthly stipends given to beneficiaries of its social intervention program Npower on Monday, according to a source in the office of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs.

A source who requested anonymity stated that “the government is preparing a special package for Stream 1 students whose programs may soon be coming to an end.”

Additionally, he mentioned that there are continuing measures to keep category Npower beneficiaries whose contracts are up this month.

He added that the ministry was working to provide a beneficial exit package for the beneficiaries and that the debt would be settled by paying the participants at the end of the plan, which will be made public in September.
